16×18 Timber Frame Plan

$67.00

This 16×18 timber frame king post plan is big on the charm factor! The plate stands over 9 feet high, and the ceiling soars up from there at an 8 in 12 pitch. That makes the peak almost fourteen feet high! The upper bents connecting the king posts add lots of interest to the space, as do the slight curve on the knee braces. The ample 24-inch overhangs provide plenty of protection from sun and rain.

There are many possibilities of how this frame could be finished… a roomy workshop, a living area addition to your home, a freestanding outdoor kitchen with plenty of space for a dining area. Let your imagination run wild! The interior space is 288 square feet, but the ceiling volume makes it feel much bigger than that.

We provide a drawing set full of plan views, elevations, section drawings, and individual piece drawings. There is a full timber list to expedite your timber purchase. We also include 3d renderings, including x-ray views to show you all the details and joinery to help you visualize the frame. The drawings are formatted in PDF for instant download. They are sized at 8 ½” x 11”, for easy printing at home.
