This 10×10 King Post Truss Timber Frame Plan can accommodate many different activities, but its small footprint can fit into almost any backyard. With generous overhangs to give plenty of protection from the elements, you could use it for a hot tub enclosure, garden shed or outdoor dining area. Cover the purlins with the roofing material of your choice for protection from the rain, or leave them exposed for an arbor for growing vines.

  • Plan utilizes 6x material
  • Can be extended or shortened by increasing/decreasing purlin and plate length

The 12 in 12 roof pitch gives this pavilion a nice presence and plenty of headroom. Decorative struts at the king posts add a really nice element. And the traditional timber frame joinery adds an element of artistic craftsmanship.  A wood floor joist system is included in the drawings.  Check out our timber frame kits to purchase your pegs and fasteners with just one click!

The plan set contains 26 sheets in a pdf that print on 8.5″x11″ and includes piece drawings for all the parts in the frame. We have also included drawings of each timber cut and joint dimensioned out. The drawings are ready for instant download and are easy to runoff from your home printer.
