24×28 Garage With Shed Dormer Plan

24x28 Dormered Garage Rendering

This 24×28 Connext shed dormer plan is so versatile!  Designed for a garage on the ground level and living space on the second floor, you could also create living space on the ground level for a cozy two-story cabin.  The shed dormers on either side of the second floor make generous headroom and flood the space with light.

This plan has lots of charm thanks to the shed dormers, and it’s functional as well. The ground floor offers 672 square feet of space, and the second level has 597 square feet, most of which has great head clearance. Tuck some storage into the corners without the dormers.

You don’t need to worry about cutting mortise and tenon joinery with this 24×28 Connext shed dormer plan. You get the strength and durability of heavy timbers, but the connections are made with T-Rex products so the cutting job is pretty easy!

The plans include 36 pages full of detailed information. There are 3D renderings, sections and elevations so you can visualize the finished product. Layout drawings for every wall are included, as are plan drawings for the rafters and joists. There are dimensioned piece drawings for every timber, showing the cuts necessary to install the T-Rex connectors. And there are timber and fastener schedules so you can budget for and purchase your materials easily.
