This 14×16 timber frame gazebo was built by timber framer Simon Berlinguet in Saint-Liboire, Quebec, using hemlock throughout the structure. The project was constructed by Bastio Inc. and designed by Timber Frame HQ, following the proportions and joinery of the 14×16 long post gazebo plan.
Based closely on the original plan, the frame maintains a classic long-post layout that emphasizes clean lines and traditional timber framing techniques. The use of hemlock provides a durable and locally appropriate material, well suited to the scale and function of the gazebo. The finished structure reflects a straightforward, well-executed application of a proven design adapted to its setting in rural Quebec.
