A strong, adjustable, completely hidden connection. The barrel bolt sits inside the timber; the all-thread pulls the joint together from within—zero visible hardware.
The barrel bolt is a threaded cylindrical nut machined to sit inside a drilled pocket in your timber. An all-thread rod passes through the adjacent member and threads into the barrel. Tighten the nut on the outside face, and the joint pulls together tight, hidden, and adjustable. If your timber moves seasonally, you can retighten. If you need to take it apart, you can do that too.

- Use a 32 mm (1.25″) drill bit for the barrel bolt hole and a 3/4″ drill bit for the all thread rod hole.
