This spacious 24×24 timber frame lean-to with loft has plenty of room to serve whatever use you can dream up! The first floor has an 8-foot ceiling height below the loft, and in the area open to the roof, you get over 16 feet of height! This area, perfect for a great room, also boasts an unbroken wall over 13 feet tall that would be perfect for a huge bank of windows. With all that space, this frame would make a great garage/workshop or a contemporary not-so-tiny home. The first floor gives you 576 square feet of space. And the 296-square-foot loft feels roomy, with a ceiling that climbs to over 10 feet.
The 872 square feet in this 24×24 timber frame lean-to with loft gives you plenty of options. The single-plane roof means less cutting of joints, although there is plenty of interesting joinery to show off, with spline and scarf joints along with the mortise and tenon connections. The roof pitch is a gentle 3:12, and generous two-foot overhangs give you plenty of protection from the elements.
As soon as you purchase the plans for this 24×24 timber frame lean-to with loft , you receive a link to download the pdfs. The construction set has 13 pages, including 3D and exploded drawings, solid and transparent, so you can see how the timbers interact. Hi,
May I ask if these plans are in metric?
In case «they are available in metrics too» please make sure it is not a simple conversion.
A few years ago I purchased a GoKart plan that was a conversion from inches to cm and all dimensions had tiny decimals that were impossible to hold. Bitterly, the plan (and my money) ended in the bin.
Regards.
Our plans are in Imperial measurements. Thank you for asking.
Does this plan include drawings for 4/12 and 5/12 pitch roofs like some of your other mono-pitch design plans?
No, it is only designed with a 3:12 pitch
Could I get this plan, but to match a similar plan I found online that is stick built, also about 10 feet wider?

Hi Katrina,
I’m looking at this design for a seasonal cottage, maybe a full-time residence…could you tell me what size timbers are required for this build? I have a lead on some freshly cut white pine and the sizes vary in this selection. Cheers!
