16×24 Gambrel Timber Frame

This 16x24 Gambrel Timber Frame  will make a charming statement anywhere you place it! The double-slope gambrel roof design allows for increased storage or living space beneath its steeper sides. And it gives you the classic barn feeling! This gambrel frame also has an attached shed roof area that you can use as a porch or for increased square footage inside. One half of the main floor is open to the ceiling above, for a great-feeling volume of space. The other half of the frame is floored for a bedroom or loft. And this second level includes a shed dormer for more headroom and natural light. There is plenty of opportunity to add windows in the first level, and in the queen post framing on the sides.

This frame measures 16’x24’ from outside to outside of the posts, plus almost 8 feet additional to the shed roof posts. And the second floor area measures 12’x16’. That gives you a total of 768 square feet of space! And the gambrel roof with the shed dormer ensures a comfortable headroom on the second level.
