  1. We are interested in purchasing the plan for the 12×14 timber frame plan. Do you have any pictures of this completed with a roof to give me an idea what it will look like when it is completely done. Thanks

    1. Sorry for the delay, been down with a head cold…the posts are 8×8 and the beams are 8×12, depending on where you live and what species you are using you could reduce them down to 8×10’s.

    1. It is possible to convert this plan to use 6x material however, other than the posts we would have to use 6×12’s or larger for the tie beam depending on your location. Contact us to discuss a custom plan option.

  2. Would it be possible to convert this plan to 12′ x 12′ ?
If so , how would you recommend reducing the length by 2′ ?
Could i reduce the number of rafters ? and/or maybe use 8×10 beams ?
Hope to use Eastern White Pine…
Thanks in advance for your reply.

    1. It is possible to make the conversion. You will need to take 2 feet out of the center of the plate and adjust the rafter spacing and length. I can help you sort out the dimensions, just give us a call. You can use 8×10’s and reduce the amount of rafters by on set.

  3. Can you give me an idea of the timber schedule for this? Depending on what I buy, I’d like to have a ballpark on materials costs. Thanks!

  4. Hi Brice,
I would like to buy this plan to build it with 6″ x 6″ Doug fir beams and reduce the building size to 12′ x 12′.
Is it possible to get a plan for a wooden floor as well.
    Thank you.
    Trevor Lusty

  5. Looking to buy this plan but would like to make it a 10′ x 14′. Also I only see 6 X 6’s (rough cut cedar) in my area, Tampa, Fl area. unless I’m not looking hard enough. Would the 6 x 6’s suffice?

  6. RE: 12 x 14 Timber Frame Plan…..Is this plan 12′ wide or 14′ wide. looking for 14′ wide. Thanks
