Project Description:
Built a 10’ x 14’ King Post Pavilion as outdoor living space at our new construction home. Foundation is poured concrete slab and will include outdoor fireplace in the near future. Purchased mildly seasoned rough sawn timber from a local mill. All timber components were hand planed, cut and joined by myself and friends using the plans I purchased. All components were stained on the ground and then structure raised using a rented material lift. Basic structure was completed in 6 weeks. I’m retired so I take a lot of breaks! Next step will be to finish the roof using painted OSB and shingles to complement the timber features of our house. Thoroughly enjoyed the process and appreciated the easy to use plans!
