Project Description:
12x16 Shed roof pavilion from a TimberFrameHQ plan. Built for shade and comfort inside a playground for Our Children’s Place daycare in Clifton Springs NY.
- Eastern white pine was trucked in from PA Sawmill and left rough dimension and cut by square rule. Timbers were dressed with a chamfer which started 2” from most joints and 8” from bases. They were lightly burned with a propane torch, sanded at 80 to remove splinters, and double coated with Cabot’s Australian Timber Oil in Moonlit Mahogany.
- Coated oak pegs by Norcott and HQ.
- Simpson post bases from the ornamental Accents line.
- Shingle roof with burned and stained 2x6 TnG (PA Sawmill) as deck.
