I saw this slide in floor joist at a new barn a friend of mine made here in Massachusetts. He needed a floor joist at the wall to hold up the flooring, but he didn’t want to take away a lot of wood from his post. So, after he erected his frame he slid in the wall floor joist from the outside. Of course, he had pre-cut the pocket for it.
