Who We Are
At Timber Frame HQ, we're passionate about creating beautiful, functional timber frames that stand the test of time. Our fully remote team combines timeless craftsmanship with modern design tools to help clients bring their timber frame dreams to life. We believe in doing great work while having fun along the way.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced timber frame professional who can wear multiple hats—sales lead, design coordinator, and project manager. You'll be the primary point of contact for clients, guiding them from initial inquiry through project completion.
What You'll Do
- Drive Sales: Connect with prospective clients, answer technical questions, prepare detailed proposals, and close deals. Use your timber frame expertise to build trust and turn prospects into happy customers.
- Manage Projects: Coordinate with clients, designers, engineers, and shop teams to keep projects on track and on budget. You'll juggle timelines, manage expectations, and ensure every detail is handled with care.
- Design Coordination: Review and refine timber frame designs in Cadwork, incorporate client feedback, and ensure technical accuracy. You'll work closely with our design team to create plans that delight clients and work in the real world.
- Build Relationships: Provide friendly, honest guidance throughout the entire process. Host regular check-ins, solve problems proactively, and look for opportunities to exceed expectations.
Mandatory Requirements (These are non-negotiable)
- Minimum 2 years working in a timber frame shop – You must have hands-on experience in timber frame fabrication and understand the realities of shop production
- Minimum 2 years full-time Cadwork experience – We need someone who can hit the ground running. We are not providing training on this software
- Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong sales abilities and comfort discussing budgets and closing deals
- Excellent communication skills with clients, engineers, and fabrication teams
What Makes You Successful
Beyond the mandatory requirements, you're someone who loves learning, stays curious about new technologies, and brings positive energy to every project. You're comfortable speaking the language of both clients and craftsmen, and you thrive in a collaborative remote environment.
Why Join Us?
- Fully Remote: Work from anywhere with a flexible schedule
- Competitive Pay: Salary plus commission structure that rewards your sales success
- Generous Time Off: 20 days paid vacation plus Christmas and Thanksgiving holidays
- Benefits: Health care allowance, workspace allowance, and 401(k) plan
- Great Culture: Join a team that values craftsmanship, creativity, and collaboration
