How tall is this structure? What would it take to make a larger version of this plan – say 14 x 24?
Hi John,
The Top of the higher Top Plate is ~16′ and the Rafter Apex on the high side is just shy of 18′. If you are interested in plans other than these, you can visit the Custom Design page here: https://timberframehq.com/custom-design/

What is the roof pitch ?
Good Morning Richard,
Same with this one. The roof slope is 4 over 12.

Hello
I was wondering what are the sizes of the rafters?(depth, width & length) Also, if I were to build this on concrete piers, what size piers (for 8×8 post) would you recommend based on the fact I live in the northeast and need to go down 4’ for frost line?
Thanks
What modeling program is this? Revit with Agacad add-in? Is it possible to get the cad files along with the plans?
Cheers,
Jeff
We use Cadworks. We do not include CAD files with our plans.
Is a plan for the ladder/stairs included in the plan?
Is this available as a kit?
It is, I just noticed your inquiry submission. I will reach out on Monday to discuss.
It took a while, but i finally got this frame cut and raised! I’d say it’s a good plan for a first try.

Jake, great job. Looks great!
I’m interested in your plans. Do you also suggest what the foundation should be or what options that work well for this build for a foundation?
Foundation design is site specific. Location, altitude, seismic conditions, soil conditions and bearing, snow loading and species of material all effect the size and amount of support you need for the frame. We avoid getting into foundation design because of this issue, there are just too many variables. It would be best to consult with a local foundation engineer and see what he thinks would be the best size and design for your area and soil conditions.
