I started laying out the braces and struts for my 20×20 King Post plan 4848, when it occurred to me they should probably be cut last due to the possible need for correction of tiny errors in the joinery of the connecting pieces.

Is there a sequence to cutting posts, braces, rafters, collar ties, etc. that minimizes errors?

I typically cut the braces first, then from there, it becomes which is best from a materially handling standpoint.  You may want to think through if you will need to transfer any measurements from one piece to another.  For example, if the knee braces are different thickness the knee brace housing will vary slightly.
