19×22 Timbered Pavilion

Small Pavilion

Originally designed as a pool pavilion, this versatile 19×22 frame could be great for several uses, including a one-car garage or workshop.  A purlin roof system tops this timber frame along with a king post and common trusses options.  Another thought would be to enclose half of the building and make a small getaway or guest cottage in the woods.

Take a look at the renderings and let us know if you have any questions regarding the frame and plans.

Please note actual plan width and length are 18’10 1/2″ x 22’6″. Formatted in PDF for instant download.

  1. Great design, what is the timber list? So I can go price it out. Thanks! Also can I adjust the plans for an 18×20?
    Thanks

  2. I have also been working on a 18′ wide version on this plan that would easily be converted to 20′ long, let us know if you are interested in this plan and we will finish it up.

  3. Do you have the plans ready for the 18 wide pavilion ? I would like to do this pavilion in a 18×20. Thank you.

I am interested in using the purlin design (full length purlins on a 28′ by 40′ timber frame house) to have a nice overhang on the sides. My question is on the depth of the notchs on the principal rafters and purlins. I have what I think is the design I want to make. Do you design houses other than the ones for sale. What should I pay for a set of plans?
    Thanks so much
    Great website

  5. We would recommend and tongue and groove ceiling with a metal roof. If you need to insulate it, then use some SIP’s on the roof in between the metal and T&G.

  6. I’m in need of this design plan in 22 x 24.
Is that possible without additional center posts?

  7. Eric Christiansen

How hard would it be to add more length to it so it is 33′ ? The roof specs is what I would be needing.

  8. Matthew Stevens

Not hard, you can add a bent to take care of the additional length or depending on loads/etc. you can keep just the three bents. If keeping the bent count the same you are only adding the additional lengths to the purlins, plates, and ridge. Let us know if you need some custom work done.

  9. I am looking at purchasing these 19×22 plans (10 Drawings), after reading the posts and looking at the 18 x 24 plans (25 drawings) it appears there are more drawings for the 18 x24, is this correct? This will be my first large Timber Frame build and I could use the additional documentation.
